Microsoft has released cumulative security update KB5083768 (Build 28000.1836) for Windows 11, version 26H1 as part of the April 2026 Patch Tuesday for PCs with ARM processors. Emoji 16.0 Available system-wide via emoji picker (Win + .) Open the emoji picker with Win + . (period) or Win + ; (semicolon) in any text field. The new Emoji 16.0 characters will be available automatically after the update. No manual setting is required.
Windows Backup Settings > Accounts > Windows Backup Open Settings > Accounts > Windows Backup. To enable automatic restoration of settings and applications upon first login, sign in with a Microsoft account and turn on the backup options for your folders, apps, and settings. The restoration will occur automatically when you set up a new PC or after a reset.

Remote Desktop phishing protection Settings > System > Remote Desktop No manual change is required. When you open an .rdp file, all connection parameters are now displayed before connecting and are disabled by default. A security warning appears on first open. To enable or disable Remote Desktop itself, go to Settings > System > Remote Desktop and toggle the feature.
