Microsoft has released cumulative update KB5083780 (26300.8289) for Windows 11, version 25H2 for Insiders on the Dev Channel. These release notes apply to Dev Channel participants. As part of the transition to the new Windows Insider program, all new release notes will be published under the new channel names, even if Dev Channel participants have not yet been moved to the Experimental Channel.
- Transition of Windows Insider Channel Participants. As previously announced, Microsoft is simplifying Windows Insider – new Experimental and Beta channels. The company is beginning to move Dev Channel participants to the new Experimental Channel. The transition will happen in stages. Participants who do not see the new interface on their device but wish to enable it can do so in Settings > Windows Update > Windows Insider Program > Feature flags.
- Windows Update. Added new capabilities to enhance security and expand user control over the Windows update process: the ability to skip updates immediately during the Out-Of-Box Experience (OOBE); extending update pause as many times as needed; always available Shut down and Restart options along with update installation; more detailed information about available updates to make informed installation decisions.
- Print drivers. The Internet Protocol Print driver (prnms012) has received new Hardware IDs (HWIDs) – in preparation for upcoming changes to printer driver priority order. Details regarding the end of servicing for third-party print drivers are available in Microsoft documentation: End of Servicing Plan for Third-Party Printer Drivers on Windows.
- Start menu. Improved recognition of clicks on the far left edge of the taskbar to open the Start menu in cases where taskbar icons are aligned to the left.
- Other fixes and improvements. Fixed an unexpected error that occurred when opening the Group Policy Editor in several recent Insider builds. Updated the Times New Roman font – improved support for combining diacritical marks in the Greek and Cyrillic Unicode ranges. If you notice issues with diacritic positioning, report them via the Feedback Hub under Desktop Environment > Font Installation and Preview – preferably with the specific Unicode character and a screenshot showing the expected position of the mark.
Program participants who use Feature flags to enable the new Windows Insider program interface may see incorrect display of the feature state as current. Changing the state and applying changes work as intended.
Installation via Windows Update: go to Settings > Windows Update and click Check for updates. A computer restart is required to complete the installation.
Please note that all new release notes will be published under the new channel names, even if Dev Channel participants have not yet been moved to the Experimental Channel.

Find and Change Settings
| Setting | Where to find | How to change |
|---|---|---|
| Windows Insider Channel Transition | Settings > Windows Update > Windows Insider Program > Feature flags | If the new Experimental Channel interface is not visible, open Settings > Windows Update > Windows Insider Program > Feature flags and enable it manually.
