Microsoft has released cumulative update KB5083825 for Windows 11, version 25H2 for insiders on the Beta channel – Windows 11 Insider Preview Quality Update (26220.8148). This update is intended for participants in the preview program and includes a number of new features, improvements, and fixes.

Known issues: Fixed an issue where some applications could not log in, incorrectly reporting a connection problem despite having an internet connection. Also fixed a crash affecting the ability to print for some Windows Insider participants in recent builds.

Installation via Windows Update: go to Settings > Windows Update and click Check for updates. A computer restart is required to complete the installation. To update Windows 11, version 25H2 to build 26220.8148, you can also download update KB5083825 and install it manually using the links above.

Find and Change Settings

Setting Where to find How to change
Windows Protected Print Mode Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners Open Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners. Select your printer and look for the new icon indicating Windows Protected Print Mode support. To enable or disable protected print mode, use the printer properties or advanced settings available for that printer.
Haptic Feedback Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Mouse > Haptic signals Open Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Mouse > Haptic signals. Adjust the intensity or turn haptic feedback on or off for compatible input devices. Effects occur during actions like snapping windows, resizing, aligning objects in PowerPoint, or hovering over the close button.
Xbox Mode Settings > Gaming > Xbox Mode The full-screen Xbox mode is now called Xbox mode. To open it, use the Xbox button on a controller or select Xbox mode from Settings > Gaming. The first-run experience has been updated; follow the on-screen setup when entering Xbox mode for the first time.
Startup Performance Settings > Apps > Startup Open Settings > Apps > Startup. Review the list of startup apps and their impact. Turn individual apps on or off to improve startup performance after logging into the system.
